The CW first kicked off their DC Comics shared television universe with Arrow in 2012, with The Flash following in 2014, and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow set to officially launch in January 2016. Although the CW’s DC universe has grown to include three series, it goes beyond live-action. Earlier this year, The CW announced an animated series, Vixen, that is also part of the world even though it airs on the network’s web platform, CW Seed....

The Flash is changing direction with next week’s episode, “Girls Night Out,” which will put Barry Allen as the Flash on the sidelines, and as the title suggests, will shine the spotlight on the female characters of the series. It was reported in August that Emily Bett Rickards would guest star on The Flash as a mini-crossover with Arrow, and that Katee Sackhoff would appear as a villain. The episode was described as a fun “girls night out” in Central City that would lead the girls into trouble....

Bates Motel season 4 episode 10 takes place in the aftermath of Norma Bates’ death and reveals how “Mother” finally emerged. Audiences in 1960 were barely equipped to deal with Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. Not only did it break such taboos of the era such as depicting lovers sitting on the same bed in a state of undress or a toilet flushing on camera, but it also included the shocking murder of the supposed main character Marion Crane halfway through....

The actor who plays Alfred on Gotham wishes his character had gotten a romance. Fox’s Gotham, the dark and campy TV series chronicling the early days of the Batman mythology, is coming up to its final season - and everything is going to be wrapping up for the characters. The fifth and final season is also going to be a short one, which means that Gotham has got a lot to pack into only ten episodes....

With the release of War for the Planet of the Apes and yet another transformative motion-capture performance from Andy Serkis, it’s time to admit the unsettling truth - he’s never going to win an Oscar for his talents. Marvel Studios’ second trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp sets up Cassie Lang to become a fully fledged superhero in Avengers 4. When Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man debuted in 2015, following on from Marvel Studios and closing out Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, only Scott Lang received a super-suit. However, there were teases for plenty of other characters to suit up; Hank Pym had once donned the Ant-Man suit alongside his wife, Janet van Dyne, who took the mantle of the Wasp....

Apple’s partner bank for the Apple Card, Goldman Sachs, has disclosed that it is facing an investigation by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The investigation is focused on Goldman’s credit card account management practices in the United States, of which Apple Card is a major component. As reported by Reuters, Goldman disclosed the investigation in its quarterly form 10-Q filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is the top United States agency and watchdog for consumer protection in the financial sector....

Apple is celebrating 15 years of its partnership with (RED), the organization that fights to end AIDS. Through support to the Global Fund, it provides access to healthcare services in communities most in need in sub-Saharan Africa. On World AIDS Day, today, Apple is offering new ways for customers to learn, engage, and donate. As it did last year, it’s raising funds and awareness to support people on the front lines of both AIDS and COVID-19....

Apple has a number of new financing programs in the works to make shopping easier, and the first of those two efforts are now live. Qualifying Apple customers in Canada can now finance iPhone, iPad, and Mac purchases over 12 or 24 months with 0% APR. The rollout starts in Canada today and is powered by Affirm, which recently went public. When customers purchase a device that qualifies, a new financing option is available at checkout that prompts shoppers to apply for Affirm financing....

One of Apple’s main flash storage suppliers has revealed a large-scale contamination incident at its production facilities, with TrendForce warning that this could see NAND chip prices rise by up to 10%. It’s currently unknown whether any Apple products will need to be recalled … Apple uses Kioxia (formerly known as Toshiba) NAND chips in many of its products, including the iPhone 13, M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro....

In 2020, Apple overhauled its gift card system with a new singular Apple Gift Card that can be used for hardware purchases at the Apple Store, or digital Apple services and software purchases in the App Store. This unified gift card came to Canada and Australia in 2021.
