Apple Dadeland in Miami, Florida will soon reopen in a sunny new street-facing space at Dadeland Mall, Apple announced today. Moving from an indoor, first level store to a wraparound outdoor space with endless sunlight, the all-new Apple Dadeland will become a focal point for Dadeland Mall. The store has direct access to the south valet and is adjacent to the mall’s main entrance. A precise opening day and time will be announced at a later date....

Lionsgate releases the Angel Has Fallen international trailer. Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, the franchise film was preceded by Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. All three action thrillers star Gerard Butler as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning. Released in 2013, Olympus Has Fallen was directed by frequent Denzel Washington collaborator Antoine Fuqua. In the film, Butler’s character attempts to protect the U.S. President from a North Korea attack. Produced for $70 million, Olympus Has Fallen earned over $170 at the box office....

Apple has officially announced its iPhone 13 event for September 14 and along with the reveal, the company has continued its recent tradition of including a fun Easter egg for iPhone and iPad users. This time it’s slicker than ever, an AR portal. Starting last year, Apple began including fun little AR Easter eggs for each event announcement. We got one for the Apple Watch and iPad event, iPhone 12 launch, the M1 Mac event, and the 2021 Spring Loaded event....

Just last week, Apple announced an expansion of its App Store Search Ads program with two new ad placements in the iOS App Store. Apple currently presents ads in apps like the App Store, News, and Stocks as well as more recent launches such as during Apple TV Friday Night Baseball streams. And recent accelerated hiring trends in the ads platform unit indicate that Apple’s advertising expansion is not slowing down, via Digiday....

Apple announced today that it will make a donation in support of the National Park Foundation for all purchases made through the Apple Store in the US this week using Apple Pay. There’s also an Apple Watch Activity Challenge on the schedule for this week.. Apple is celebrating national parks in partnership with National Park Foundation. Apple is releasing watchOS 8 beta 4 to all developers. After one month and a half since it was first previewed during the WWDC21 keynote, Apple is now seeding another build for the upcoming Apple Watch operating system. Today’s build is 19R5312e. Public beta testers will have to wait a bit longer until beta 4 is available to them as well. watchOS 8 beta test program started on June 30 with beta 2....

Apple recently teamed up with popular YouTube creator Jonathan Morrison to pull off a special surprise for two up-and-coming creators. Apple reached out to Jonathan to ask if he wanted to surprise a creator with a dramatic overhaul to their tech setup, and the end result is pretty heartwarming… The setup provided by Apple is pretty impressive, including the Studio Display, Mac Studio, iPhone, AirPods, and iPad Pro. Apple tasked Jonathan with deciding which up-and-coming creator should be the lucky recipient of this “dream desk” collection of products....

Apple has officially released its next major update for macOS Monterey. Version 12.1 comes with a number of new features and changes including SharePlay going live, updates for Photos and Messages, along with fixes for six major Mac bugs. macOS 12.1 is showing up now for users via OTA (check  > About This Mac > Software Update). While Apple didn’t launch the anticipated Universal Control feature with this update, the release brings a sizeable list of new additions and fixes....

The Apple Watch Series 7 is now available to pre-order, but if you wanted one for October 15 launch day delivery, you’ve likely missed your opportunity. Shipping estimates for Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders have quickly started slipping into late October and November. The Apple Watch Series 7 pre-order experience has been rather cumbersome from the start. Apple notably did not provide any details about configuration options and pricing prior to pre-orders beginning this morning, leaving many customers in the dark when it came time to place their order....

As reports indicate Apple is planning to launch its first AR/VR headset as soon as later this year or in 2023, Microsoft is reportedly revamping its own roadmap to better compete. According to a new report from Insider, citing an internal roadmap, “Microsoft’s mixed reality business is undergoing a major technology shift.” Insider first reported last week that Microsoft had scrapped its plans to release a HoloLens 3 product, opting instead to put its resources towards other products, including a device built in partnership with Samsung....

An Avengers: Endgame fan-created edit takes out Captain Marvel and diminishes the presence of Black Panther. Vision and Scarlet Witch are getting their best storyline yet in Avengers: Infinity War according to Paul Bettany. Long-serving as the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S., Marvel Studios and Joss Whedon made good on an arc they previously teased Bettany with by making him a proper superhero in his own right come Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was here that audiences first got to meet Vision (created from and powered by the Mind Stone), giving Bettany a much larger role in the MCU....

Background Independent resellers objected that this would put them out of business, as Apple only authorized companies selling millions of dollars worth of stock. Antitrust investigations were opened in a number of countries, including Germany, Italy, and Spain. The two companies initially created a brand registry program, before going further and creating an Authorized Reseller store. Both companies have objected, saying they plan to appeal. A longtime Apple fan has posted a story on Reddit alleging that they received a call from Apple CEO Tim Cook’s office over some Apple Music app feedback that they emailed to him. The user goes by the name of heyyoudvd on the platform and their story is quite intriguing. Normally, we’d raise our eyebrows and not think much of any sort of post like this. But the user goes into so much detail and provides an overview of all of the feedback that they sent to Cook via email....

Following a small “Device Support” update earlier today, Apple has just released macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 RC to developers. According to the release notes, this update brings security fixes to macOS Big Sur users — but details are unknown. The update comes as a surprise since Apple has not released any beta builds of macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 previously. Instead, the company is already delivering a Release Candidate version to developers, which suggests that this update will be released to the public in the coming days....
