We’ve yet to see Tom Holland as Peter Parker or Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His introduction comes with a smaller role in Captain America: Civil War before he spins off into his own reboot movie in 2017. For a long while, Spidey’s involvement in the third Captain America was kept tightly secret, in an official capacity anyway, but directors Anthony and Joe Russo are finally able to talk about his part in helping start Phase 3 of the MCU....

Ant-Man & The Wasp gets a Dolby ensemble poster as the cast starts the film’s press tour less than a month before the movie hits theaters. The 20th film installment of the MCU, the follow-up flick will see Paul Rudd reprise his role as the shrinking titular hero, and the debut of his seemingly more capable partner, Wasp, played by Evangeline Lilly. Despite the Peyton Reed-directed sequel being significantly less grand in scale than the last few Marvel Studios movies, Ant-Man & The Wasp has the potential to be a franchise game changer as it’s expected to further explore the Quantum Realm - “a reality where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant as you shrink for all eternity....

Apple appears to be rolling out a wide-reaching branding change about how it refers to its Mac portable lineup. Up until recently, Apple officially referred to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro as “Mac notebooks” or just “notebooks,” leaning on the relatively outdated industry terminology of notebook computers. But now, everything user-facing appears to be slowly converting to using a “laptop” nomenclature. Updates to the Apple Online Store product pages, articles in the Apple Support knowledge base, and even the Mac operating system is beginning to reflect this branding update …...

The awards nominations for the 2021 Primetime Emmys have been announced today and Apple TV+ is leading the Comedy categories thanks to heartwarming hit Ted Lasso. The series was placed in the Best Comedy category, and Jason Sudeikis was nominated for best lead actor in a comedy series. The Ted Lasso cast earned three nominations for best supporting actor with recognition for Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein and Nick Mohammed. Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple were also nominated for best supporting actress in a comedy series....

For years Arrow has been leading the charge when it comes to DCTV. It was the show that started a whole multiverse on The CW. Now the live-action world of DCTV is about to get just that much bigger with a Titans series on DC’s yet-to-debut streaming platform. Yet while it would seem natural for the Arrowverse and Titans to crossover, there are no plans. Arrow (and its spinoffs) have hinted at the existence of some of the heroes that will be in Titans....

Brandon Routh is set to return to the role of Superman in this year’s Arrowverse crossover, but that means there’ll be two actors playing the Man of Steel - so how will that work? It appears that various rumors regarding the upcoming Assassin’s Creed installment have been confirmed ahead of the game’s official reveal next week. The long-awaited next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been in development for quite some time, due to the decision by Ubisoft to move away from an annual release strategy. From the time that the second Assassin’s Creed game hit the market in 2009, the studio had been releasing at least one main installment per year, for six years....

The reported production budget for Avengers: Infinity War would make it the second most-expensive film ever made, unadjusted for inflation. Modern tentpoles are never cheap endeavors, but even Marvel was going to have to break the bank a bit to cover the costs of their epic crossover event. A massive undertaking that looks to wrap up 10 years of storytelling across 18 films, just the sheer size of the ensemble cast meant the studio was going to be looking at a pricey bill....

The first trailer for the next installment in DICE’s Battlefield video game franchise is currently in the works, which means a full reveal just might be around the corner. DICE has been alternating annually between releasing mainline Battlefield titles and Star Wars: Battlefront. Last year, Star Wars: Battlefront II released, and now, they’ve turned all their attention towards developing the next installment in their acclaimed shooter series, which was most recently given a quasi-reboot with WWI-centered Battlefield 1....

A new Apple accessibility video highlights a variety of features designed to offer independence to people with a range of disabilities. Set to the soundtrack “I Am the Greatest” by Spinifex Gum (with Marliya Choir), it opens by showing a woman telling Siri to set her morning scene … Her bedroom blinds open, and Siri gives her a weather report, before she sits up to reveal that she has no arms....

Apple is suing a stealth startup called Rivos for poaching engineers with access to secret company information. According to the complaint, Apple believes former employees stole proprietary information at the request of Rivos as part of the recruiting process. While much isn’t known about Rivos for now, the startup primarily targets silicon engineers in job listings. Apple says the startup wants to design chips that will compete with their own, but the company believes Rivos is doing that with proprietary Apple information....

Apple on Tuesday updated its Apple Research app with the option to transfer study progress to another device via iCloud backup. The feature is part of version 2.3 of the app, which is now available on the App Store. According to Apple, today’s Apple Research update adds support for “transferring study progress to a new device using iCloud backup.” The Apple Research app was introduced in November 2019 as a new way to let users contribute to health research using their iPhone and Apple Watch to capture data....
