Aquarius Computer today is releasing its new Mac app called AppSwitcher. With this application, you can switch between apps in a presentation without revealing your screen full of open windows. AppSwitcher is a new system extension-like app that allows users to switch to one app at a time and switch to only that app. For example, when you click on Safari, you instantly hide the open Mail app. The app helps you to have a clean desktop, which is perfect for presentations....

Avatar 2 writer-director James Cameron says in a CineEurope presentation that the early results of his Avatar sequels are “beyond even our expectations.” First up, of course, is Avatar 2, one of four planned sequels to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar. The first movie went on to become the all-time highest grossing film release worldwide with $2.78 billion in ticket sales. Plus, it earned nine Oscar nominations - including Best Picture and Best Director - and won statuettes for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects....

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice director Zack Snyder believes Lex Luthor had his father murdered. After successfully rebooting Superman with Man Of Steel, Warner Bros recruited Snyder to direct Batman V Superman, which paired the two legendary heroes together for the first time on the big screen. The movie would also kick off a series of DC Expanded Universe movies like Wonder Woman and Justice League, so it had a lot riding on its success....

Ant-Man 3 should introduce a new character - Raz Malhotra, the new Giant-Man. Introduced in 2015, Malhotra is a tremendous “Legacy Hero” who deserves his place in the MCU. The Ant-Man movies really have two themes: family, and legacy. That’s why they’ve already featured two generations of Ant-Mans and Wasps, working together to take on the threats of Yellowjacket and Ghost. It’s currently unclear whether or not Marvel is planning an Ant-Man threequel, given the box office performance of Ant-Man & the Wasp has been a little disappointing....

A new study funded by Apple and released today aims to show the impact that App Tracking Transparency has had on the mobile advertising industry. The study claims that App Tracking Transparency has not benefited Apple’s own advertising business, and “Apple offers greater privacy options in its own apps than is required under ATT.” The study, funded by Apple, was conducted by Kinshuk Jerath, Ph.D. from Columbia Business School. Jerath serves as a professor of business in Columbia’s Marketing Division....

While it’s likely that only a tiny number of people within Apple Park has seen an Apple Glasses prototype, I can’t help feeling like Oppo’s Air Glass is giving us a kind of sneak preview at the likely state of play. It still looks a long way from a finished product, but at the same time it’s a lot closer to a Glasses product than the type of clunky mixed-reality headsets we’re expecting to see first....

There’s been a lot of speculation about the timing of Apple’s mixed-reality headset launch – and in particular whether the company will announce it at WWDC 2022. Workers at one of Apple’s flagship retail locations in New York City are taking the first steps to unionize. As first reported by The Washington Post this weekend, workers at the Apple Store located in Grand Central Terminal are now collecting signatures to begin the unionization process. If successful, this would mark the first time that Apple Store employees have unionized. A report back in February indicated that some Apple Store workers in the United States were in the early stages of unionization....

Before spinning off into their own time-travel adventure series, many of the main characters on Legends of Tomorrow appeared in Arrow and The Flash, their fellow DC Comics shows in The CW universe. Alex Garland’s Annihilation movie adaptation has begun screening for the press and the first wave of reactions to the film are extremely positive. Garland’s second directorial effort after the Oscar-winning Ex Machina, Annihilation is a mashup of science-fiction thriller, mystery, and horror based on the first installment in author Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach novel trilogy. VanderMeer has already praised Garland’s Annihilation for being even “more surreal” than his source material and having what he has referred to as a “mind-blowing” ending - an ending that is likewise drawing praise in the first wave of social media reactions to the film....
