FX has announced the premiere date for American Horror Story’s upcoming crossover between seasons one and three. Since its premiere in 2011, the show typically follows a different horror-based theme each season. For this upcoming eighth season, the network is putting together a crossover with Murder House and Coven, which currently does not have an official subtitle. Apple chipmaker TSMC has announced record revenues for the first quarter of the year, despite the continued component shortage and COVID lockdowns in China. Apple on Tuesday announced the launch of its first local daily newsletter on Apple News targeting the Bay Area. Readers will find top stories from multiple segments as well as different local publications directly in the News app. As reported by TechCrunch, the Bay Area newsletter on Apple News will feature stories about sports, politics, dining, and more. Today saw key Apple supplier Foxconn warn that revenue could slip this quarter due to both slowing demand and growing supply-chain problems. The company’s chairman said that there were many uncertainties in the market, and that Foxconn would be looking to further diversify to reduce its dependence on smartphone assembly … Reuters reports. Apple had been trying to get ahead of further COVID-19 lockdowns by asking Foxconn to recruit iPhone 14 assembly workers earlier than usual, but that plan had to be abandoned almost immediately when “iPhone City” went into lockdown....

Apple is coming under scrutiny for how its App Store review process handles submissions of cryptocurrency trading and wallet apps. In a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook today, the chair of the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs questioned what “measures your company is taking to prevent fraudulent activity in your app store.” App Store cryptocurrency scams As first spotted by The Verge, the letter from Senator Sherrod Brown comes as the FBI and other agencies have issued warnings around the proliferation of crypto scams....

Attack on Titan has set Hollywood abuzz as the season two premiere looms closer. While there is still no official release date for the second season here in the US, patient Japanese fans can end their four year wait at the beginning of April. After a long hiatus, the Starz television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods finally sets a premiere date for season 2. The series has undergone some behind-the-scenes tumult, with series creators and season 1 co-showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green opting to depart the show due to creative differences and the series’ budget. One of the surprise summer hits of 2015 was Marvel’s Ant-Man. While it had the Marvel Studios branding and the Disney marketing machine behind it, it was just unclear how good the superhero movie would be - what with director Edgar Wright dropping out of the project so soon before the start of production. Speedometer is a browser benchmark that measures responsiveness by simulating user interactions on demo web applications. Introduced by Apple’s WebKit team, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are now partnering on the development of Speedometer 3. Speedometer 2.1 is the latest stable release, with 1.0 released in 2014 and a major update (2.0) in 2018. It tries to “capture real-world Web as much as possible” by simulating a user “adding, completing, and removing to-do items using multiple examples....

During the “California Streaming” event, Apple announced new cases and accessories for the iPhone 13. Alongside it, the company unveiled a new MagSafe Wallet that now integrates with the Find My app and network. For the Find My integration to work, Apple says it requires an iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe and iPhone 12 or later with Find my enabled in iOS 15.
