Before Google’s “Get The Message” campaign in August, Android’s Messages app was updated with iMessage reactions at the start of this year. In a very weird turn of events, Apple appears to be taking credit for Google adding iMessage reactions on Android. As spotted by David Imel today, Apple’s iOS 16 “All New Features” page lists the following addition for the Messages app: That text was added to the page recently, presumably with the launch of iOS 16 earlier this month....

The CW releases a brand new trailer for this year’s Arrowverse crossover titled “Elseworlds.” Bringing together Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl as DC’s Legends of Tomorrow sits this year out altogether, the upcoming special will also mark the on-screen debut of the newest superhero to join the network in Ruby Rose as Kate Kane aka. Batwoman before she potentially stars in her own solo show. Told in three parts divided among the series, the overarching narrative has a lot going in it....

Ryan McPartlin joins the upcoming Bad Boys TV spinoff from NBC. Technically the third outing from the film franchise that started in the mid-90s, Gabrielle Union is set to reprise her role from Bad Boys II as Syd Burnett - the free-spirited sister of Martin Lawrence’s Marcus and love interest to Will Smith’s Mike. In the small screen iteration, however, Syd will be the central focus as she becomes an LAPD detective after leaving DEA....

Critical scorn is not enough to stop the ultimate battle between heroes, as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice continues to perform well at the box office. Fans worldwide have been coming out in droves to witness Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman face off in their first ever co-appearance on the big screen, bringing in an estimated $166.1 million domestically, for a total of $420.1 million worldwide during its opening weekend along....

Following the release of the new Safari 15 for users running macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina last month, Apple this week released the first Safari 15.1 beta for macOS versions prior to Monterey. Apple first introduced Safari 15 as part of macOS Monterey at WWDC 2021. The update introduced a new browsing experience that unifies the address bar with the tab bar. However, as macOS Monterey will not be released to the public until later this year, the company has decided to make Safari 15 available to macOS Big Sur and Catalina users....

Apple is rolling out a new firmware version for its latest third-generation AirPods. The new firmware update rolling out today brings AirPods 3 to version 4C170, and it represents the third update that Apple has released since AirPods 3 debuted last fall. As of right now, AirPods 3 are the only truly wireless earbuds that Apple has an update for today. The update comes with version number 4C170, which is up from the previous release of 4C165....

Apple subsidiary Claris this week released a new update for FileMaker, its cross-platform relational database software. FileMaker 19.5 includes support for new JSON functions, as well as security improvements and overall enhancements. According to the company, the FileMaker update makes the platform more secure. For instance, remote FMP URLs now require approval, and users can choose to be notified before an FMP URL opens a file. With FileMaker 19.5, the platform now supports more JSON functions, such as JSONGetElementType, GetLiveText, and ReadQRCode....

New research by J.D. Power 2021 US Credit Card Satisfaction Study shows that Apple Card is the only card issued by Goldman Sachs, which ranked highest among the Midsize Credit Card segment and received a chart-topping score of 864. Apple Card and issuer Goldman Sachs also ranked highest in the Midsize Credit Card segment across all of the surveyed categories, including interaction, credit card terms, communication, benefits and services, rewards, and key moments....
