Hey Siri Studio Display comes with three built-in microphones, which can be used for audio calls. However, Apple also uses these microphones to identify the “Hey Siri” voice command, which instantly triggers the company’s virtual assistant. If you’re not using a Studio Display, “Hey Siri” requires a 2018 or later MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, a 2020 or later iMac, or an iMac Pro. Apple on Wednesday announced price changes to the App Store in a few regions. While apps will become more expensive in Ukraine and other countries, there are also countries, like Oman, where developers’ proceeds will change due to adjusted taxes. Apple usually readjusts App Store prices to follow fluctuation in the exchange rate of international currencies and also local taxes. The company detailed on its website prices that increase in three regions this month because of new digital service fees....

Avengers: Endgame almost had a terrible return scene for its dead heroes. After first announcing the news last fall, Apple has started accepting requests from developers of reader apps to allow the use of external links for customers to sign up and manage their accounts outside the App Store. Meanwhile, Apple has also changed its policy on dating apps in the Netherlands after coming under fire by Dutch regulators. Apple shared the news in two Developer updates today. A summary of the way that various tech giants last year sought to address the needs of people with disabilities shows that Apple’s accessibility record is better than that of most companies – but did make things worse in one respect. Engadget says that Apple continues to lead the way in inclusive design. The American Council of the Blind did, however, draw attention to one failure on Apple’s part. In addition to updating its screen reader, VoiceOver, to enable better descriptions of images for the visually impaired, Apple also launched several new products....

Apple TV+ has signed yet another major movie onto its slate of original film projects. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, ‘Argylle’ follows the word’s greatest spy around the globe. Deadline reports that Apple snagged the package for around $200 million. The film will star Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L Jackson. Artist Dua Lipa will also feature, as well as providing music for the film’s score....

DC’s Aquaman took in nearly $3 million from its early screenings, surpassing last year’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The latest addition to the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman is already doing well financially, ahead of its U.S. theatrical release next weekend. James Wan’s superhero movie is also generating overall positive word of mouth at the moment, with early Aquaman reviews praising the film for being a properly entertaining (and properly weird) popcorn movie anchored by Jason Momoa’s charismatic performance as a dude-bro Arthur Curry (reprising his role from last year’s not-so-beloved Justice League)....

The development of the upcoming Aquaman film, helmed by The Conjuring’s James Wan, has been in full swing as of late. Just yesterday, the film cast Patrick Wilson - a frequent Wan collaborator and costar of The Conjuring films - as the primary villain, Ocean Master. Fans have also been aware for a while now that Wan will be filming in Australia, but the director has also teased another location in the past that he called perfect for a film of “high sea-adventures,” which Aquaman is confirmed by Wan himself to be: Italy....

To say that Archer: 1999 ends with a return to reality is a bit of a stretch, seeing as how outlandish the series’ “reality” actually is, but it’s safe to say that the show’s recent forays into the surprisingly imaginative depths of its title character’s comatose mind have come to a conclusion. On one hand, it’s a welcome shift back to where the series began, while on the other, it demonstrates both the creative power and narrative limits of the show’s last few seasons....

A new Avengers: Infinity War clip reveals the first meeting between Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the upcoming blockbuster brings together almost all superheroes in the famed franchise as they band together to foil Mad Titan Thanos’ evil plans. Promising to find a “narrative thread” in every MCU movie storyline to date, the film will also set the stage for next year’s still-untitled Avengers 4, which will cap-off the 22-film-narrative that the MCU has been expanding on since 2008’s Iron Man....
