Apple on Monday opened applications for its next Entrepreneur Camp. This online event connects developers with founders as well as other developers of app-driven organizations who are part of underrepresented groups, such as female, Black, and people of Latin descent. As described by the company on its website, Apple Entrepreneur Camp aims to encourage more people to “build the next generation of cutting-edge apps” by connecting them with entrepreneurs. The first edition of the event took place in March of this year with leaders and developers from the USA, Brazil, Guatemala, and Portugal....

Apple is expected to shift up to 25% of its iPhone production to India by as soon as 2025. Following up on iPhone 14 manufacturing kicking off in September by Foxconn in the country, Pegatron has become the second vendor to start making Apple’s latest smartphone in India. Reported by Bloomberg, Taiwanese-based Pegatron Corp. is the second manufacturer to start iPhone 14 production for Apple in India. Historically, Apple’s operations in India would start producing iPhone a year or more after a model was released....

While Apple continues beta testing of macOS 12 Monterey, a new macOS Big Sur update has landed for all Mac users with 11.6. The new software hasn’t been beta tested and brings two important security updates that may have been actively exploited. There’s also an update for those running macOS Catalina. macOS 11.6 arrived today alongside iOS 14.8 and watchOS 7.6.2. The main changes are two security updates. And along with the update for Big Sur, Apple has also released the security update for macOS Catalina, however, just one flaw fix was needed there....

This time, however, the app helped Colorado police find and arrest a man after a deputy “accidentally” dropped his phone on the suspect’s truck. Apple TV+ is coming to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time. The company announced today it will be holding panels for Severance, For All Mankind, Mythic Quest, as well as a “storytellers of Apple TV+” roundtable featuring producing talent from For All Mankind, Invasion, Mythic Quest, See, and Foundation. Apple is also hosting a special Severance experience event for con attendees.
