A creative fan combined the posters for Aquaman and The Meg. Aquaman is the latest film in the unofficially titled DC Extended Universe. It follows up last year’s Justice League and focuses on the character of Aquaman aka Arthur Curry played by Jason Momoa. Aquaman was initially introduced in a quick scene in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The bulk of his action and character development so far came in Justice League, but his part of the superhero universe will be further explored in Aquaman....

The demonic doll called Annabelle will make a cameo in James Wan’s upcoming Aquaman movie. The evil doll was first adapted for the big screen in 2013 for the horror film The Conjuring. After the film’s success, the doll was given a spinoff film titled Annabelle, and a sequel three years later called Annabelle: Creation. Annabelle was also briefly seen in The Conjuring 2. Wan, of course, started The Conjuring universe, which currently includes a total of five films, but he directed many popular horror films before 2013....

The Aquaman movie poster features Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry front and center; the one-sheet arrives ahead of the first Aquaman trailer dropping at Comic-Con 2018 later this week. Warner Bros. is taking a long break between their last DC Films’ universe release - Justice League in November 2017 - and their next upcoming movie. James Wan’s Aquaman hits theaters in December and will follow the Justice League standout on an adventure of his own....

Frank Grillo continues to tease Crossbones’ return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers 4. Fans of the MCU may now have new material to sift through with Ant-Man and the Wasp in theaters, but there’s still plenty of attention being given to what next May will offer. Half of the universe is dead thanks to Thanos’ infamous snap. Making things potentially even tougher on the heroes is a new theory that Thanos may have traveled through time at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and now is resting up on an older Titan....

Gwyneth Paltrow may indeed suit up in Avengers 4 and wear Pepper Potts’ Rescue armor. The Marvel Cinematic Universe suffered catastrophic losses when Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Half of the universe’s population vanished and left only a small group of heroes to try and save the day next year. All of the original six Avengers survived and they’ll be joined by Nebula, Rocket, War Machine, Ant-Man, and Captain Marvel....

Blizzard Entertainment has done a great job of expanding the world of their multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch by creating animated shorts, but one fan has imagined if they did something on the grand scale of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. YouTuber Salty Phish has put together an awesome video that uses the voiceover from the now iconic superhero film. By using a variety of Overwatch cutscenes, they’ve managed to re-contextualize the events of the film by giving it a Blizzard spin....

In just over two weeks, audiences will finally have their say with regard to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Despite featuring three of the most famous superheroes of all time and a massive marketing campaign, featuring numerous trailers, posters, and TV spots, the project has been dogged by rumors of massive cost overruns, skepticism of what may be an overly dark tone, and concerns about its actual box-office potential – with the fate of the entire DC Extended Universe potentially hanging in the balance....

That usage of “perverse” is, of course, not intended to be taken in the actionable sense; the idea in question isn’t an “obscenity.” The purported “R-rated Director’s Cut” of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice should not be banned, censored or restricted by any means outside those already established by the rating itself....

Apple has released a nice update for developers today with App Store Connect on iOS now allowing the creation of multiple TestFlight groups including the ability to configure build access for each group. App Store Connect 1.7 is available now with the improved TestFlight features being the headlining change. The update also includes bug fixes and stability improvements. The new TestFlight group functionality allows developers to be more efficient and effective with getting feedback from beta testers via iOS....

Supply shortages are affecting an array of industries right now, and Apple is not immune. In addition to shortages impacting the Mac and iPad, the Apple Watch is also being indirectly affected as third-party accessory makers struggle to obtain supply of Apple Watch chargers. In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reports that supply shortages have hit some Apple Watch accessory makers. Smaller accessory companies are reportedly facing issues acquiring supply of Apple’s proprietary charging pucks to integrate them into their own accessories....

While Apple says it usually shuts down a store when 10% of staff members test positive for COVID-19, an Apple Store manager who prefers to remain anonymous mentions how overwhelmed employees are, since at least 25% of the team in their store is currently on leave due to testing positive for COVID-19 and exposure to COVID-19. Another report from an Apple Store leader complains about how the company has been softening control measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in its stores located in Brazil....

The Apple Store union battle has now expanded to Australia, with a series of Zoom briefings organized by Apple Together. It previously reached the UK. If Jason Momoa could pick any two DC characters to appear in Aquaman 2 it would be Wonder Woman and The Flash. A sequel to Aquaman has not been green-lit officially. There are rumors though that a sequel is in development and given the critical and potential financial success of Aquaman, a followup seems like a certainty. The DCEU’s effort to create a solo story for Arthur Curry looks like it’s exactly what the troubled movie universe needed, and at the very least, it’s better received than Justice League....

Aquaman will arrive in theaters in a little less than a month, but new stills of Arthur Curry battling Orm have just arrived. Aquaman first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in 1941, and was also one of the original six Justice League members. He made his cinematic debut in 2016 in a cameo during Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and returned a year later for Justice League. From marketing materials and information that have been released about the film thus far, Aquaman looks to have two villains; King Orm and Black Manta....

Aquaman’s Curry Lighthouse is currently coming to life in the form of a large new set off the coast of Australia. Director James Wan has been busy shooting scenes in various Australian locations since the start of May, and titular star Jason Momoa has been preparing for his role since well before that. Momoa will play Arthur Curry, who will learn of his true place in the world as Aquaman during the course of the movie....

Avengers 4 screenwriters Markus and McFeely promise that big things are in store for Captain America and Black Widow in the blockbuster MCU sequel. While both characters certainly played an important part in the recently released Avengers: Infinity War, it’s true that the clearest emotional journey of the piece belonged to Tony Stark’s Iron Man, who served as the initial line of defense between Thanos and Earth. Still, it looks like Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff are set to take center stage in Avengers 4....

Battlefield 1, the upcoming video game shooter from DICE, takes the franchise back in time to World War I; and while the series stresses realism in its graphics and depictions of military hardware, the expectations of players mean that not everything will behave as it did in a real war. Technology will be more reliable, tanks will be more effective and parachute use far less precarious; all in service of making the gameplay still fundamentally “fun” in the manner expected by fans of the series....

The imminent release of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast brings with it an onslaught of promotion in the form of trailers, posters, and TV spots - not that we mind.
