Apple unveiled its AirTag smart tracker early this year. After a lot of controversies about whether the product could be used to stalk someone, the company released a few updates to warn people if they have an unknown AirTag with them. Another promise was an app for Android users to locate Apple’s smart tracker product. Alongside iOS 15.2, the company is also releasing ‘Tracker Detect,’ an Android app to do just that....

A new patent application published this week by the US Patent and Trademark Office highlights Apple’s efforts to expand MacBook keyboard technology. The company is apparently advancing existing keyboard backlighting technology such that future keyboards could show different symbols depending on context. Currently, Apple’s MacBook keyboards feature backlighting technology that exists simply to make the keys visible in dark environments. The keys themselves use labels that are pre-printed, meaning they are static and can’t be changed and are potentially prone to wear with long-term use....

Following the release to developers earlier this week, Apple has now released the first public beta of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 to testers. The company is also rolling out the first public betas of watchOS 9.2, macOS 13.1, and tvOS 16.2 as well. Almost one month after rolling out iOS 15.2 to the public, Apple has a new bug fix update for iPhone users today. The company is now rolling out iOS 15.2.1 to the general public. Apple says today’s update to iOS 15.2.1 includes fixes for CarPlay as well as sharing photos via Messages. You can update your iPhone to iOS 15.2.1 by heading to the Settings app, choosing General, then choosing Software Update....

This time, the New York Times has published a new story going in-depth on the demand for Apple’s $19 screen cleaning cloth, quoting an anonymous Apple official in saying that the company is apparently “not surprised” by the demand. If you head to the Apple Store Online today to buy a Polishing Cloth, Apple is quoting delivery estimates of 10-12 weeks. The company also says that the Polishing Cloth is “currently unavailable” at its retail stores, signaling that in-store supply is unavailable....

The runtime for Jason Momoa’s solo DC movie Aquaman has possibly been revealed. And, if this runtime turns out to be legitimate, then Aquaman will officially become the third longest movie in the entire DCEU, next to Wonder Woman and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Following a brief cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as a scene-stealing performance in Justice League, Arthur Curry is officially going solo....

The CW is currently gearing up for an unprecedented four show crossover that will see heroes from Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow unite to save the planet from an alien threat known as the Dominators. A hero’s work is never done however, and once the day is (presumably) saved these heroes will go back to their respective territories. For Oliver, Felicity and co that means keeping the streets of Star City safe, and for the time-travelling Legends of Tomorrow that means patrolling history to stop the spread of time abberations....

The CW DC Universe continues to grow at an impressive rate. This week saw the midseason premieres of both The Flash and Arrow, and will introduce the newest spinoff series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Three interconnected shows makes for an impressive (and potentially complicated) television universe, but the creators have also branched out into new mediums. Batman – The Telltale Series gives gamers the chance to step into the shoes of both the man Bruce Wayne and one of the most famous superheroes in history, Batman. In a collaboration between Telltale Games and DC Entertainment, a modernised story taking place in Gotham has been created for fans looking for a fresh experience with the Caped Crusader. Now, a new trailer for episode 4 of the series, ‘Guardian of Gotham’, has been revealed following the success of episode 3, with Telltale promising that players will be leaving this episode in “very different places depending on where they choose to go in the third act, and this will greatly affect their story rolling into the season finale as well....

Battlefield V will officially release next week and, while early reviews are actually fairly positive (including Screen Rant’s Battlefield V review), the major complaint seems to be a lack of content. Instead, Electronic Arts has opted for a staggered post-release strategy which will eventually include Battlefield’s own version of the ever-expanding battle royale genre, Firestorm. While it’s certainly disappointing that Battlefield V is releasing straight out of the box without much to actually do, the features that are available compliment what is arguably one of the best shooters of the year....

Now that we know for sure the 2016 Assassin’s Creed film officially takes place in the same universe as the Assassin’s Creed games, it’s time to dissect exactly how closely they’re connected to the latest game release: Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Ubisoft’s flagship action-adventure series got its latest entry last week when Assassin’s Creed: Origins released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, which, along with offering up lots of Ancient Egyptian parkour action, revealed the overlaps between the game and film....

The second season of American Crime Story, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, officially confirms a January 2018 release date. After having switched places with Katrina as Ryan Murphy decides to retool what supposedly was the sophomore outing of the true-crime anthology (focusing on a smaller scale story than the initial politics-centric one), the upcoming installment of the series has moved up its release date from 2019 to early next year....

While there was some skepticism about Angel initially– especially in its shifting gears from Buffy’s premise to being a show about a private investigator who is often butting heads with a demonic law firm– the show quickly found its voice and proved to be another hit for Joss Whedon. Though it didn’t quite match Buffy’s time on the air, it lasted a respectable five seasons and spawned a comic book series that continued through 2012....
