Based on the novel of the same name by Jeff VenderMeer, Annihilation stars Natalie Portman as Lena, a scientist who ventures into a mysterious and highly dangerous phenomenon called the Shimmer, on a mission to find out what happened to her husband, Kane (played by Oscar Isaac) when he went on a previous expedition....

The Apple Car is still far from being announced, but rumors about it keep circulating on the web. This time, Bloomberg reports that Apple has lost another three engineers from its car project, who recently left the company to join startups. One of the engineers who has left the Apple Car team is Eric Rogers, who worked as head of engineering for the car’s radar system. Rogers recently joined the flying-taxi startup Joby Aviation Inc....

Apple has a strange relationship with its audio products. While the original HomePod was discontinued last year, the company added new colors to the HomePod mini family in October and finally launched Lossless and Dolby Atmos support to these products. Unfortunately, there’s still a major issue Apple needs to address, which is AirPlay reliability when connecting multiple HomePods. While this should have stopped me from buying new HomePods, I decided I should add two HomePod minis to my house, and this is when problems regarding AirPlay reliability started to bother me....

Following the release of iOS 15.2.1 earlier this month, Apple on Thursday stopped signing iOS 15.2 for all iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad models. This means that users can no longer downgrade their devices to iOS 15.2. iOS 15.2 was released to the public on December 13, 2021, with a few notable changes, which include Apple Music Voice Plan, new App Privacy Report in the Settings, safety alerts for children using Messages, Digital Legacy, and more....

Following the announcement of the iMac M1 earlier this year, Apple confirmed that only some of the colors would be available for demonstration and purchase at Apple Retail Stores around the world. However, it seems that the company will finally offer all the iMac colors in its physical stores to customers starting next week. The report comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who just shared a tidbit on Twitter regarding Apple’s event on Tuesday....

Marvel Studios has moved Avengers: Infinity War up one week. Anticipation is running high for Marvel Studios’ nineteenth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and understandably so. The studio has been building to Infinity War for 10 years now - and are releasing special merchandise to celebrate. Those special events are just tiding fans over at this point. So far, the movie’s marketing is still just in the early stages, with only one Infinity War theatrical trailer at this point....

Ant-Man sat out the universe-altering Avengers: Infinity War but in Avengers 4, the diminutive superhero may ultimately be the cause of Thanos’ defeat. Infinity War ended with Thanos achieving his lifelong goal of wiping out half of all life in the universe. Though he also paid a heavy price - the Avengers killed the Children of Thanos and he sacrificed Gamora to earn the Soul Stone - the Great Titan still possesses the completed Infinity Gauntlet, which essentially makes him the god of the Marvel Cinematic Universe....

The Avengers 4 trailer is finally here, but despite revealing the title - Avengers: Endgame - and catching up with the surviving heroes, it actually hides an awful lot about next year’s MCU culmination. That should hardly be surprising. Marvel has increasingly marked itself out with secretive marketing campaigns, and that goes double for the latest Avengers movie; they’ve been so silent on this film that even the trailer release was a topic of much speculation....

It felt like it was a long time in coming, but American Gods finally aired this year. The first season, a short-and-sweet eight episodes, just wrapped up and we are in love. Starring Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Gillian Anderson, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, and more, the show is based on the 2001 Neil Gaiman novel of the same name. Gaiman is best known for his comic work (especially The Sandman and Death), but has also written several well-received novels, including Good Omens (with Terry Pratchett), Stardust, and American Gods....

Ant-Man & The Wasp is apparently nearing the end of its production now that a crew wrap party was held. The Marvel Cinematic Universe brought its tiniest hero to the big screen in 2015 with Ant-Man. The movie introduced Paul Rudd’s low-level criminal Scott Lang and delivered another lighthearted Marvel film that including references to Avengers: Age of Ultron and a brief appearance from Anthony Mackie’s Falcon. The movie didn’t light up the box office like The Avengers, but it performed well enough to earn an expanded sequel in Marvel Studio’s Phase 3 plans....

Five days after Apple’s child protection measures were announced, there has been no let-up in the controversy surrounding the upcoming new features. Latest to comment is Facebook’s former security chief and now Stanford cybersecurity professor Alex Stamos. Stamos says that there are no easy answers here, and calls for more nuanced discussion than the prevailing narratives that this is either a great move or an unacceptable one … Stamos used a Twitter thread to make his points, starting with the need for a balanced understanding of the issues....

Following a day after the macOS Monterey beta 5 for developers, the latest release has been made available to public beta testers.
