Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War has finally arrived. It’s been said, ever since Thanos was hinted in the post-credit scene of 2012’s The Avengers, that the Mad Titan would be the toughest villain our favorite group of heroes would face. That promise has definitely come to fruition in the 19th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe given the dire situation that befalls the universe at the end of the movie....

Sometimes it can be tough to tell whether Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is a success or a failure, both financially and creatively. A look at the audience score vs. the reviews from professional critics on Rotten Tomatoes, for instance, seems to indicate that the two groups do not see eye to eye. The premiere of The CW’s Batwoman may still be a ways away, but the show’s characters have potentially been revealed. Staring with Arrow in 2012, The CW has released a significant amount of superhero-related content over the past few years, including The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Supergirl. Now, the character Kate Kane (aka Batwoman) will be getting her own show in 2019 starring Ruby Rose. As announced earlier this year, Apple this week opened its newest Developer Academy in Detroit, the first in the United States. The program, which is already available in countries such as Brazil and Italy, comes to the US in a partnership with Michigan State University. The Apple Developer Academy is a program that trains programming and design students to create apps for iOS, macOS, and other Apple platforms. There are classes on Swift language, interface prototyping, and more....

Update: iOS 15.1 with SharePlay is now available to public beta testers as well. Just one day after the release of iOS 15 to the public, Apple is launching the beta train yet again. The company is now rolling out the first developer beta of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1, and developers can update today via the Settings app on their devices. Today’s new release of the iOS 15.1 beta 1 is available to developers via an over-the-air update in the Settings app....

Apple has traditionally shut down the App Store Connect platform for a week during the holiday season. This year, however, Apple is forgoing that practice and has announced that it will “continue accepting submissions in App Store Connect throughout the upcoming holidays.” In a post on the Apple Developer website today, Apple said that developers should still plan to send time-sensitive submissions early, because reviews will take longer to complete during the holiday season, particularly around Christmas and Thanksgiving....

New artwork for the Arrowverse 2018 crossover event titled “Elseworlds” gives the characters featured in the event a comic book makeover. The image shows Arkham Asylum doctor John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) laughing maniacally while the heroes of the Arrowverse are pitted against each other. The three-night event, which will air in the second week of December, will bring together the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), the Flash (Grant Gustin), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) for an adventure that will serve as the Arrowverse debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane....

Now that Avengers: Infinity War has been released on Blu-ray and digital, plenty of behind-the-scenes secrets have come to light. Naturally, many elements of the film changed from the writing, to filming, to editing stages. DC Comics and Warner Bros. are reportedly planning to adapt the classic Batman story The Long Halloween into a two-part animated feature film. A fantastic cast of voice actors have been tied to the project, though no casting has been officially announced at this time. First published in 1996, with a script by Jeph Loeb and art by Tim Sale, The Long Halloween is considered by many to be one of the greatest Batman stories ever written....

Caution: Spoilers ahead for the The Walking Dead comic series - After The Walking Dead’s comic series was brought to a sudden end, AMC have reassured fans about the fate of the TV adaptation. In the previous issue of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes was shot and killed in a shocking and brutal twist, reaffirming the franchise’s theme of no character being safe from the chop. At the time, Kirkman claimed that his series would continue without its former protagonist and said that he hoped fans would stick around to see what The Walking Dead had in store for the next part of its story....

The nod goes to her role in Sharp Objects, where she plays a reporter that may possibly have a few more issues than Lois Lane. During its September quarter earnings call, Apple’s CFO Luca Maestri shared the company’s expectations for how supply chain issues could impact the December quarter. Even though shortages are expected to become worse, Apple believes it will set a new holiday quarter record. Apple had a record September quarter with $83.4 billion in revenue, up 29% year over year and profit of $20.5 billion. However, it was shy on expectations, missing on revenue by almost $1....

After a short hiatus due to the holidays, Apple is restarting its beta testing process yet again. iOS 15.3 beta 2 is now rolling out to registered developers, just over three weeks after the release of the first beta.
