Apple is facing a class action lawsuit for not paying New York State employees weekly. A former Apple Store employee, Raven Ramos, who worked at the Fifth Avenue location, is suing on behalf of herself and current employees in New York. In the state of New York, law requires companies to pay manual workers on a weekly basis. This counts for employees that “engaged or have engaged in manual work in the course of their employment....

The International Association of Privacy Professionals announces that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook will headline its global privacy summit, set to take place next week. Cook’s speech will open the summit, which will be open to all in-person attendees as well as live-streamed via YouTube. Tim Cook’s speech will take place on April 12 at 9 a.m. EST. Apple last year announced a change in the App Store guidelines that would require all apps that support account creation to offer an in-app option for letting users delete their accounts. However, this requirement has been delayed twice. Now the company has set a new deadline for developers to update their apps according to the new guideline. Starting June 30, 2022, all apps available in the App Store that somehow let users create a new account must also offer a way to let them delete that account if they want to....
