It has wide adoption, but a bug in Google Search today sees Safari users in iOS 15 no longer being served the AMP version of sites. Apple is continuing to push into health care, this time striking a deal with Epic Systems for a Mac-friendly version of its health records app. As reported by Axios, the deal will see Epic Systems create a version of its health records tool that “is easier to run on Apple devices.” Apple had reportedly pushed for Epic to create a “native version of the service” for Apple devices, but the two companies settled on this compromise of a version that is “easier to run on Apple devices” instead....

While everybody’s excited about the iOS 15 launch, Canadian Apple users have another reason to celebrate as the company now sells refurbished iPhones. As spotted by iPhone in Canada, this is the first time Apple has sold refurbished iPhones outside of the US. Canadians were already able to buy Macs, iPads, Apple TV, and other refurbished accessories and now they can get an up to $500 discount when buying an iPhone....

Apple announced on Tuesday that it will release its earnings report for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2021 on October 28. As usual, the company will release its Q4 2021 earnings report then hold a conference call with investors and analysts to provide more detail. Last quarter, Apple reported $81.43 billion in revenue, up 36 percent year over year, and a profit of $21.74 billion. Due to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, Apple has not been providing guidance for its future earning results....

Apple this year released the second generation AirPods Pro, and while it brings a lot of improvements, Apple’s new wireless earbuds still lack Lossless audio support. However, according to an Apple engineer, the company has been focusing on other ways to provide high-quality audio on AirPods without the need for the Lossless codec. Apple acoustics team engineer Esge Andersen was interviewed by What Hi-Fi (via MacRumors). Andersen, who has worked at Apple for over 11 years, gave his insight into the development of the AirPods Pro 2 and answered questions about why Apple’s AirPods still don’t have Lossless support....

The first live-action show created for the DC Universe streaming service, Titans has hinted at a larger world beyond that which has been depicted on the show so far. While few characters outside of those created for the classic Teen Titans comics have been depicted on the show, there have been a plethora of nods to other people from around the DC Comics universe. This year has been rough for manufactures thanks to the global chipset shortage. Although Apple has said it will affect the company in the next quarter, an analyst says the issues are currently affecting “everybody but Apple.” According to Wave7 Research, seen by PCMag, “sources have told Wave7 Research that Apple was able to lock down chipset supply well ahead of time” but that this “was not the case for other OEMs....

Angelina Jolie was a compelling action hero in 2010’s Salt, a film about a dedicated CIA agent revealed to be a Russian sleeper agent. Also starring Liev Schreiber (Ray Donavan) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Martian), the spy thriller was packed with plot twists, exciting chase sequences, and daring escapes. Salt earned decent reviews as a fun action flick, and $118+ million in domestic box office, though it needed the heftier foreign market earnings to overcome its $110 million budget....

Ant-Man and The Wasp’s Hannah John-Kamen says she’s interested in doing a spinoff movie based on the Thunderbolts. John-Kamen plays the villainous Ghost in the fast-approaching Ant-Man sequel, a big bad that remains relatively wrapped in mystery and intrigue. Her abilities have been shown off in recent trailers and clips, and the newest Ant-Man 2 images give the best look yet at the character. In the comics, the character Ghost was often part of a popular group of anti-heroes and super-criminals called the Thunderbolts....

The latest update for Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends includes significant changes to inventory space and the player’s ability to stack various items. In addition to the large amount of meta changes, players can expect a load of new content. This large update begins the System Override event, which adds a limited-time game mode and a heap of Apex Legends cosmetic items. As usual, a prize track of collectible event cosmetics will be available until March 14th, when the event ends....
