The team behind Alita: Battle Angel discuss Ed Skrein’s transformation into Zapan in a behind the scenes clip from the live-action film. Adapted from Yukito Kishiro’s manga series Battle Angel Alita (which ran from 1990-95), Alita was originally envisioned as being a directorial vehicle for James Cameron back in the early 2000s. AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron held an online conference on Monday with some company-related announcements. In addition to revealing a new deal with Warner Bros. for an exclusive 45-day theatrical window prior to digital release, Aron confirmed that AMC theaters will finally accept Apple Pay and other digital wallets by the next year. A new supply chain report says that some Korean suppliers have created Apple Car task forces following visits by the Cupertino company to discuss manufacturing plans. Much of the focus appears to be on batteries for the car, with Apple reported to be working on custom-designed ones rather than using any existing power packs… Korea IT News reports. One of the many unanswered questions about the project is how much of the Apple Car the company would design from scratch, versus using off-the-shelf chassis units available from both existing car makers and contract manufacturers....
Apple has released iPadOS 16.1 beta 3 to developers. After ten betas since its original announcement during the WWDC 2022 keynote – and a lot of complaints about the Stage Manager feature – Apple is planning to add this function to other iPad Pro models that don’t feature an M1 chip. While the company did not hold a special press event, it did share a mini event video to introduce and show details of the new products announced today. As part of a deal announced earlier this year with parent company Comcast, Sky satellite TV customers will soon have access to the Apple TV+ app through their Sky Q set-top box. The app experience on Sky is the version of the TV app that is stripped down to only offer TV+ originals, as we have previously seen appear on older Samsung and LG smart TVs. This means customers can stream Apple TV+ shows and movies, but access to other Apple TV Channels or iTunes Store content is not possible....
